Points to Consider for Bucket Reinforcement:

1. Enhance Tooth Root Protection: Severe wear on the side plates can reduce the effective capacity of the bucket, impacting productivity. Additionally, a trim blade aids in cutting material and protecting the edge plates, making it necessary for excavators to be equipped with one. Since the sides are not high-wear areas, reinforcement on the sides should not be excessive to avoid affecting the overall weight of the bucket.

2. Reinforcement of the Floor is Necessary: Watson Machinery advises customers purchasing new machines to remove the paint from the reinforcing ribs on the bottom of the new machine (approximately one week) before reinforcing the floor, as this will result in better welding. The floor reinforcing steel should be made of hard, wear-resistant long plates and should protect the overall shape of the bucket to avoid affecting the entry angle and productivity. The welding of the reinforcing steel should follow the welding direction of the original machine's rib plate and should overlap the two plates.

3. Reinforcement of the Bucket Interior: It is recommended to reinforce the interior of the bucket through hard surfacing welding, despite its high cost and time consumption. However, its wear resistance and effectiveness are the strongest. Alternatively, one can choose to attach some reinforcing ribs, but not too many.
